The service

Soft natural through to glam traditional

Jassi has worked in the Asian bridal industry for several years. Having already built experience across the wedding industry, she went on to earn an accredited BABTAC certificate specialising in Indian bridal and pre-wedding hair and makeup, mentored by the highly experienced makeup artist Reshma Patel.

She is a versatile artist: traditional bridal looks, modern contemporary looks and Asian fusion looks all sit within her range, and her makeup and hair can run from soft and natural to glam and traditional depending entirely on what you want.

She has worked closely with Asian bridal wear and designer jewellery houses including Mongas, Sequinze and Nargis — so the look is planned around the outfit rather than improvised next to it.

As your wedding makeup artist, Jassi stays with you until you are dressed — jewellery set, dupatta draped — and finishes with a final touch-up so you are photo-ready before anyone raises a camera.

The package

What most Western bridal packages leave out

This is the part most Western bridal packages leave out entirely — and it’s why a fusion wedding requires more than a standard bridal booking with a quick touch-up.

  • A personalised schedule across every event ahead of the day
  • Bespoke makeup and bridal hair styling tailored to your outfit, jewellery and overall bridal look
  • Hair preparation and styling for a polished, long-lasting finish
  • Secure styling designed to accommodate dupatta, tikka, jewellery and bridal accessories
  • Final styling adjustments to ensure every detail is photo-ready
  • Jassi remains with you until every element of your bridal look is complete

Fusion weddings

Two cultures, one artist

Over the past few years fusion weddings have become hugely popular — two cultures, two sets of traditions and two families coming together, usually across two or more ceremonies.

Jassi has worked with a number of brides who need different looks across several ceremonies, from natural makeup through to heavier traditional work. Because she has real experience of both Caucasian and Asian weddings, she can offer a genuinely bespoke service rather than adapting one tradition to fit the other.

This is, by some distance, the most common reason brides find her — and the reason they stop looking.

A few words from Jassi

“I know the formalities, not just the looks”

Coming from a Sikh background myself, I have experience and understanding of the formalities of Indian and Asian weddings and pre-wedding events. My knowledge includes the latest trends and the traditional makeup and hair looks for the various events celebrated before the big day. Dupatta draping/pinning, tikka and jewellery setting are included so that you are photo-ready.

The week

Every celebration is different

From intimate pre-wedding gatherings to full wedding ceremonies and receptions, I cover the key events that make up a South Asian wedding. Whether you’re having a Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Pakistani, Indian or multicultural celebration, each event can be tailored to you, your outfit and the atmosphere of the day.

01

Pre-Wedding Events

From intimate gatherings to larger celebrations such as Mehndi, Sangeet, Dholki and other pre-wedding events. These are the moments where you can have a little more fun with your look and let your personality come through.

02

Nikah / Civil Ceremony

For brides having a Nikah, civil ceremony or another intimate ceremony, this can be a softer, more understated look — or simply a different interpretation of your bridal style. The focus is always on making you feel completely like yourself.

03

Religious Ceremony

Whether you’re having a Hindu, Sikh, Muslim or other religious ceremony, I work with the traditions, jewellery, draping and details that are important to you, creating a look that feels cohesive from start to finish.

04

Reception

Your opportunity for a transformation. A reception look can be completely different from your ceremony makeup, with a new eye, lip, hair or overall style — giving you a second bridal look for the evening.

Whatever your wedding looks like, the aim is the same: makeup that feels like you, works with your celebration and photographs beautifully from the first event to the last.

“It's very difficult to find someone who can help with hair and make up for fusion weddings like mine. Jassi was able to style me and help with my outfits across my civil wedding and Indian ceremonies.”

Large parties, tight timings

Indian weddings rarely involve one person getting ready. Where the numbers demand it, Jassi arranges a qualified artist from her team, writes the schedule and pays the artist on your behalf — so everyone is ready when the cars arrive.

A change later in the day

Plenty of brides want a second look between the ceremony and the reception, or a touch-up before the evening. Say so on the enquiry form and it goes into the quote from the start, rather than becoming a conversation on the day.

How it works

Three steps, and no surprises

From first enquiry to the last touch-up, you always know what happens next and what it costs.

  1. 01

    Secure your date

Get in touch with as much detail as you can — date, venue, ceremony types and numbers. A quote, price list and terms come back to you. If you're happy, a booking form and booking fee request follow.

  2. 02

    Book your trial

Held at Jassi's Farnborough studio, subject to availability and dependant on the time of year. This is where the look is decided, the products matched to your skin, and the two of you get to know each other.

  3. 03

    Your wedding day

Jassi travels to you. A timing schedule is written and sent in advance, with touch-up time built in so everyone stays photo-ready. Nothing is rushed and nothing runs late.
