A trial isn’t essential, but it is highly recommended for bridal and ideally takes place four to six months before your wedding. It’s the perfect opportunity to finalise your look, match products to your skin, and get to know each other before the big day.

Trials can be booked for members of the bridal party, as well as family and guests. If you’d like someone to join you for your trial, Jassi kindly asks that you bring no more than one additional person.

Trials take place at Jassi’s home studio in Farnborough, Hampshire, Monday to Friday, subject to availability. Evening trials can also be arranged. Weekends are usually reserved for making wedding-day magic!

Ahead of your trial, Jassi will send you a handy preparation guide with all the information you need, including what to bring and how to prepare. This ensures you’re fully prepared and ready to enjoy your trial.

Travel is free within a 15-mile radius of Farnborough, Hampshire (GU14). Beyond that it is 65p per mile, quoted at the time of booking. You will not be charged to travel to Jassi's Studio.

Yes — Friday to Sunday and on bank holidays, for both bridal and non-bridal bookings. It is quoted at the time of booking.

A non-refundable booking fee of £80 is required to secure your booking. The booking fee reserves your appointment, covers administrative and booking costs and secures the time allocated exclusively for you. For this reason, it is non-refundable if you cancel or choose not to proceed.

• 1 hour — Bride, hair or makeup
• 45 minutes — Bridesmaid or guest, hair or makeup
• 1.5–2 hours — Hollywood wave

For Hollywood waves, hair below shoulder length is recommended, along with 22–26 inch, 180–260g clip-in, 100% human hair extensions for the best results. Ideally, have your extensions ready before your trial so Jassi can assess how they blend and style. Please mention Hollywood waves on your contact form, and any questions about extensions can be discussed with Jassi before your trial.

Please note that these timings are a rough guide and may vary depending on your individual requirements. Jassi will adjust timings where needed, either during your trial or based on your inspiration photos if you haven’t had a trial.

Jassi will confirm at the trial or by email, but generally: a lipstick or lip balm, a compact translucent powder, and a wide-tooth comb if your hair is being worn down.

Yes, on request. A charge is quoted depending on what you need — a mid-afternoon refresh is very different from staying through to the first dance.

Yes. A change of hair, makeup or both in one day is very common, particularly for fusion and Asian weddings. There is an additional charge, quoted when you book.

Yes. Jassi works with a small team of professional makeup artists and hair stylists she trusts. Additional artists are charged per artist and quoted at booking. Jassi arranges all the scheduling and pays the artists on your behalf, so it stays one conversation for you.

Yes. Give as much detail as you can when you enquire — how many people, what each of them wants, and what time you need to be ready — so the quote comes back accurate first time.

Jassi will be happy for your bridesmaids to show her their inspiration pictures on the day! If anyone has any questions regarding hair extensions or would like any advice beforehand, please let her know.

Yes — all wedding jewellery, tikkas and dupatta draping are included. Jassi does not drape sarees. For early wedding starts, Jassi can also recommend a professional draper who can assist with setting bridal dupatta(s), as well as saree draping for family members. Please remember to bring plenty of thick safety pins for securing your outfit and dupatta.

Jassi comes from a Sikh background and has worked in the Asian bridal industry for years, holding an accredited BABTAC certificate in Indian bridal and pre-wedding hair and makeup taught by Reshma Patel. She knows the running order of the events, what each one asks of a look, and how to plan the week rather than just the day.

Jassi does not do Mehndi, however she can recommend 'Mehndibyami' on Instagram.

Every product in Jassi's kit is hypoallergenic and tested for sensitive skin. If you are concerned, Jassi can work with products you already know suit you — just say so in advance.

Yes. Jassi offers skin prep and Epiderma5 chemical peels at her Farnborough studio for bridal and non-bridal clients.

Jassi sends a prep guide when you book. In the meantime: drink two litres of water a day, eat a balanced diet with plenty of antioxidants, and keep your skin hydrated.

Yes — Jassi provides lashes as part of your makeup service, or she can happily apply lashes that you bring along yourself. If you have a particular style in mind, feel free to bring them so Jassi can make sure they’re the right fit for your look.

Jassi can style hair with micro-ring or tape extensions already fitted, and can add clip-ins into a style. She does not supply extensions.

Buy them before your trial. They must be 100% human hair with the clips already sewn in. Recommended brands: Bombay Hair, Clip Hair, Milk & Blush, Beauty Works, Foxy Locks.
